Dear International Educators,

I'm pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for our Project Pengyou Leadership Fellows Program at Harvard University on March 20-23. All American students or recent grads who have lived or studied in China are encouraged to apply!

Project Pengyou Fellows will be invited to participate in a Leadership Summit at Harvard in Cambridge, MA to meet other like-minded young leaders, build unique community organizing skills and learn about cross-cultural leadership in the US-China context. With support from the Ford Foundation, Project Pengyou will cover lodging, food and training costs at Harvard for all Fellows. A number of travel stipends will also be provided. During the four day summit, participants will gain strategic skills to mobilize people and resources in their communities, and develop their capacity as US- China leaders.

Our long-term goal for this program is to build a robust community of next generation leaders committed to China study and exchange and mobilize them to set up Project Pengyou chapters across the country that will also serve to strengthen the awareness and viability of China study programs in their community.

We are especially targeting fellows from under-privileged and under- represented regions (south and midwest), but in general we're looking for exceptional alumni who are passionate about their China study experience, are interested to serve as a leader in their community and strengthen their engagement with China. Details about the Leadership Fellows program and application process are online at http://www.projectpengyou.org/leadership-fellow/ and also detailed below. The deadline for applications is February 23, 2014.

Thank you and I wish you a wonderful Year of the Horse!

Very Best,

Holly Chang
