Scholarships for Language Study and Degree Programs in Taiwan

The Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Boston is offering scholarships for language study and undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Taiwan that begin between September 1, 2014 and August 31, 2015.

2014 Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES)

• For Mandarin language study in Taiwan (3, 6, 9, or 12-month programs) beginning Sept. 1, 2014-Aug. 31, 2015.
• Scholarship includes monthly stipend of NT $25,000 (Approx. $850 USD)
• Application Deadline: March 31

2014 Taiwan Scholarship

• For undergraduate and graduate degree-granting programs in Taiwan beginning Sept. 1, 2014-Aug. 31, 2015.
• Scholarships covers tuition, fees, and subsistence allowance.
• Application deadline: March 31

Eligibility requirements:

• U.S. Citizen
• Resident of Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont
• High-school diploma or post-secondary degree(s)
• Excellent academic record
• Good moral character
