International Program Consultant - Program Management

We are seeking an International Program Consultant who displays a high level of professionalism, ability to multi-task and attention to detail that will communicate with our partner schools and with our oversea offices to support the coordination and administration of academic and residential student programs at schools around the US.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage comprehensive administrative tasks as assigned
  • Provide international student program consulting
  • Oversee the development of international student programs
  • Provide cultural competency support to school administration and students
  • Facilitate international student matriculation and ensure program targets are met
REQUIREMENTS
  • BA or MA graduate required/MA/PhD preferred
  • Interest or experience in global business or education
  • Committed to diversity in education
  • Strong drive/high energy with a willingness to travel globally
  • Previous consulting experience
  • Strong communication skills, including telephone and email skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work and communicate outside normal business hours
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work closely with managers and colleagues around the globe
  • Professionalism and punctuality, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong commitment to customer service
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Residential life or remote management experience
  • ESL experience
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese, or another foreign language(s)
  • International travel experience
  • Sales and recruitment experience
  • Background in social work, mentoring, personal counseling and/or consulting
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred

Out To Innovate™ Scholarships for LGBT STEM Students

The National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals established the Out To Innovate™ Scholarships for LGBT STEM Students, following NOGLSTP’s inaugural Out to Innovate™ Career Summit for LGBT People in STEM. These scholarships are intended for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering,or mathematics (STEM) programs who are either lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) or an active ally of the LGBT community. The scholarships are designed to promote academic excellence and increased visibility of talented LGBT students in STEM careers.
Two $5000 scholarships will be awarded for the 2014-2015 academic year: one to an undergraduate student, and one to a graduate student. The deadline for applications to be received by NOGLSTP is June 7, 2014Follow this link to learn more, and to download the application package.
